REMARKS

Store and apply between 4℃ and 38℃. Contains no asbestos, lead, mercury or mercury compounds. Protect from freezing until dry. Since the dry adhesive film is soluble in water, it should not be used where in expectation of water. Because of its sodium silicate base, this product is not recommended for use with glass fiber or other alkali sensitive insulations. Primed or painted metal surfaces should be tested for compatibility. If used between impermeable surfaces, drying time will be extended.

Preparation for application

  • Do not thin product.
  • As the product is non-combustible adhesive made on sodium silicate, store it at room temperature before use for the high workability . On the contrary application at low temperature reduces it.
  • Apply only to clean, dry, oil-free surfaces.
  • Keep the container of product firmly closed in times of not in use to prevent evaporation of moisture and surface skinning.
  • Always store products above 0 degree C

Application Method

  • Apply SHC 107-27 at a thickness of 1.0mm in wet by brush or 1.7mm by trowel, which is equivalent to 2.8kg/m2.
  • Allow an open time 5-10 minutes and then adhere closely. Be mindful for complete contact that the lower temperature needs longer open time while the reverse dose shorter.
  • Remove the leftover of adhesive remaining outside the joining part clearly.
  • This application provides 0.70mm dried film thickness. - As rough or porous surfaces require more products, higher built thickness is recommended.
  • As powder/dust on the surface may reduce adherence, it is strongly recommended to apply after complete cleaning.

Tools

  • Use clean brush or trowel. - Be mindful to have uniform thickness using the tools.

Clean up

  • Warm soap water can clean the products in wet. - After dried, use mineral spirits or chlorinated solvent, once cured, employ strong solvent like xylene to clean the equipment.
